This article takes a look at HEVs and its hybrid power source system, which includes a fuel cell, a lithium battery, and flexible photovoltaic panels. The new setup works by enhancing the efficiency of the two power sources to make the most of the energy and runtime that is available. Under varying traffic and driving patterns, the operating mode mimics certain highways in cities, suburbs, and intercity travel. Despite the more complicated design, the simulation results demonstrate that the new arrangement improves the performance of the hybrid electric car, leading to improved dependability. With the suggested approach, you won't have to worry about sudden power outages or other unanticipated shutdowns caused by running out of juice. Depending on the driving mode and route circumstances, the new layout also increases the vehicle's driving range. An additional 276.3 km of driving range is possible with this car. Battery management is improved, maintenance is reduced, and lifetime is increased when fuel cells are hybridised with PV panels and lithium batteries. When compared to a single fuel cell power system, the suggested topology is 17.2% more cost-effective. This is because it reduces the overall cost associated with a single battery power system during the lifetime of the batteries. The European market sees a savings of 14.8% and the American market of 2.6%.
