Abstract

This work proposes and designs a half bridge dc-dc converter (HBC) with soft switching that is appropriate for electric cars. In its design, the HBC prioritised minimising the amount of power switching components. With a constant input multiple source and only two Zero Current power switching (ZCS) devices on the primary side and four Zero Voltage power switching (ZVS) devices on the secondary side of the high frequency transformer, the proposed HCB resonant circuit operates at a switching frequency of
100 kHz and achieves better efficiency and performance through varying the PWM modulation of the power switching devices. We use MATLab 2009a to build the suggested module and examine the outcomes of the simulations.
